CONDITIONS OF BOOKING

1)

When attending your driving test appointment you will have to produce your Jersey Provisional Licence, Jersey theory test pass certificate and motorcycle CBT pass certificate (if required), depending on the type of driving test being taken. Documents must be originals, no faxes or photocopies are accepted. The licence must be current and valid for the licence category of test being taken. If you arrive without your licence or a licence bearing a different number to that which you used to book the appointment or an expired licence or any of the other documents required you will not be able to sit your test and you will lose your fee.

2)

If you are taking your test in a private vehicle you must produce current insurance cover in the form of a certificate of insurance or a cover note (not a policy schedule or relying solely on an insurance disc). Your vehicle must be in a roadworthy condition. Category B test vehicles (car and small van) must be fitted with a seatbelt and headrestraint for the examiner. The headrestraint must be an integral part of the seat. Slip on headrestraints are not permissible. Failure to comply with the insurance or vehicle provisions will result in you not being able to sit your test and you will lose your fee.

3)

You must keep your appointment on time. Late arrival will result in you not being able to sit your test and you will lose your fee. Your test is at DVSD, La Collette, St Helier. You should turn up 15 minutes before the appointment time.

4)

To cancel your driving or island knowledge test and obtain a refund, or alter a test appointment already held, you must give three clear working days notice (excluding Saturdays and Sundays, Public Holidays, Christmas Day and Good Friday) and produce your receipt to the department, together with your provisional. Separate arrangements may be made for those who have booked via the Internet with regard only to the production of a receipt.
